I'm Back!!!!!
I'm Back!!!!!
Well folks. After having to sell both of my 86's prior to my move to NV, I finally found myself another. Today I purchased..... Guess what?
Yup. Yet another 86 300zx. This one is a Red/Red 86 non turbo 5 speed. It looks identical to my old 86 turbo. But the wheels are the non-turbo variant. Oh, and the best part is that this one doesn't have any rust on the body. But, being in the desert sun for quite some time, it does have some interior parts that will require some attention. Just a few things tho. Like the drivers seat has one rip. The dash pad is ripped on a few seams toward the windshield. And a few of the interior trim panels have the typical vinyl rips. It has 171k on her. But it has a rebuild motor (less than 30k) and a brand new wheel/tire. The motor runs great. But it has a bad cold-start idle (found the fuel sensor wire is broken). I have to figure out what's wrong with the A/C system. Chances are it's just the compressor or a horrible leak somewhere. And it requires new brakes. Other than that, it's a diamond in the rough. All purchased for a measly $1200.
I'll get some pics of it up as soon as I can. I go to the DMV tomorrow to pick up my tags.

Tags are on the car and parked out front of my apartment's door. New rotors are on order. Brake pads are sitting in the car, waiting for the rotors. Since I had them on my turbo, I also ordered the H-4 conversion with high power headlamp harness.
The weather and my schedule today prohibited me from taking any pics of the car today. I'll try to get them done next weekend.
Yea, I am completely happy with this one so far.
