How do I check fuse able links in z31

Hay again guys the dash has been out in the silver z for about 8 months the day I sold it to my buddy my dad was at my garage an wanted to use my jump box an i dont know what he did but the dash never came back neither did the radio but we hard wired that out. So I was reading a different post an seen it could be the fuse able links an I have no clue how to check them

Use FSM electrical diagrams to locate them. Use your multimeter and check that the link still conducts a current. Works like a fuse. When the metal link inside melts (too much current) it no longer carries a current through it. Fusible links are usually encased in insulation to prevent damage when an overcurrent cooks them. Standard fuse links are visible through the colored plastic so you can see when they're blown.

black box just forward of the battery. check like any fuse. multimeter on lowest ohm scale should show zero or close to it. they are just push on connectors might need long nose pliers to get hold of it.

The power supply that runs the digital dash is fed power through the fuse for the rear wiper. Check to see if the rear wiper is working, if not change the fuse and chances are the dash will light up again
