Help! Part ID
Firstly,
I'd like to greet everyone since im new to the forums.
Been messing with 240sx's for a while and now im moving on to Z's.
i need help identifying this fan.
its from underneath the front on the passesnger side,
attached to the blower motor housing with 2 phillips screws.
if anyone can give me a part # or tell me what and where to get it,
it'd be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.

That's one of the climate control sensor fans. I can't remember what Nissan calls it, but you can take it apart, clean it and apply a bit of light oil to it. (I just used WD40, I think.) It also has an adjuster screw on the spindle part, which you can loosen a tad, but be careful not to back it out too far or you'll never get it back in.
Both of mine stopped at one time or another and I was able to easily get them going again. Haven't had a problem since. They have a very weak magnetic thing that gets them started, so it needs to spin very freely to start spinning.
You can find them on ebay all the time, but buying a used one is sensless when it's probably going to do the same thing as that one when it collects a little dust.

Yep, same thing. It just circulates the air a bit and gives the sensor a better reading, I guess. I know if one or the other stops, some weird things start happening to your auto climate control.
