For those cars with the "Upgraded" auto temperature monitoring..I forgot the technical name for our cars ..
One cannot control where the AC goes..For a short time it comes out the small moveable vents , then goes to the windshield
and then just when it gets nice and cold, goes to the floor vents.

WTF? I thought it was only my car till I watched a guy complain about his car on youtube.
Anyway to change this? Control where the air comes out? Nissan really f'ed this up big time!

 

The auto climate control is controlled almost entirely with vacuum. If one of the many vacuum lines, ports, etc has a vacuum leak, the system defaults to floor and defrost. So... you want a working ACC? Find and fix the vacuum leaks. Use the FSM: Z31 Factory Service Manuals

 

OK thx It hits all 3 areas but drops to the floor at the end. Seems to make no sense how it moves from mid vents to windshield to floor.
Is this the indication of a bad vacuum?
