Door Corner Seals - There has to be another way...
FAIRLADY Z Z31 Specialty Parts Online Shop - Auto-Style USA - Japan Car Parts JDM Parts
From what I have found, this is the only way to get a new set of these seals; The prices are unbelievable!
Has anyone found a way to make these diy, i'm just tired of hearing the air that slips through the area where the seal used to be when going above 45.
With examples like this, I seriously think Nissan discontinues little parts like that to annoy us! It's not like we all don't need these seals, every z31 ive found has either missing or broken seals AND ITS P*SSING ME OFF! /rant
I'm more than willing to pay for them, but not an amount that nearly equals a paycheck for some people...

Have you tried searching car-part.com for a recycler with a Z on the lot - or maybe with a set of doors that have the corners? It may take some negotiation... but you don't really need 'new' ones when you think about it. Sort your 'door' or 'glass' search by distance from your zip. The recycler may be in your neighborhood.

If I knew what I was doing I would try and make a mold of the one I got and mirror to make another, but I'm too afraid of breaking it and ending up like .

Are you saying you need only one of them now? Please clarify.
There's a recycler here in CT I will be seeing this week. I'll ask about the door/window corners on the two Z31s he still has on the lot. You never know.
Making your own does sound like something I would try. After all, it's only an air-stop on two sides and a glass channel on the third. The material is the tricky part.
I would also check out the 'parting-out' guys. If their t-tops are gone or the window glass is broken, they don't have much use for those corner pieces any longer.
Keep the faith.

To clarify, yeah, I only need one of them, the drivers side rubber piece that wraps around the corner and the plastic triangle that covers the mirror screws on the same side.
I found one for the pass side a few months ago that is intact, just not sure how long it will last. It gets HOT down here!
If you manage to find any of the two pieces on a door, just put vegetable oil on it to soften it back up (odd, but works!) and you should be able to get it off without breaking it.

Will check. You don't post your model/year but I'm assuming Z31. By any chance, are they the two parts shown on page BF-38 of the 1986 FSM - or is there another part involved?
You could Sign in, go to User CP menu (upper left), click Edit Signature and add your Z model, year, shifter, turbo or NA, etc. Saves you having to add it to every post. (Guys here go crazy if you don't lock your Q to your specific Z every time you post...They just ignore questions without enough info) Then click Edit Avatar and add a little Z pic under your nick. Cool enough?.
Thanks.
