dash cluster and boost controller
Greetings kindred Z freaks,
I have installed a kn filter and modded the exhaust on an 84zxt to which I have also installed a boost gauge and pressure relief valve set at 10.5psi. With the boost control valve wide open ( no valve), the car is only generating 7-8 psi. What can cause this?. should I bypass the speed/rpm limiter or maybe a more aggressive mod to the exhaust is order. Also what is the procedure for digital instrument cluster removal. Thanks

Re: dash cluster and boost controller
there is a stock POV on the passenger side of the plenum at the very front of the engine. It's set for about 7-8 psi for safety.
Speed limiter and rev limiters are two totally different things. Bypassing either will not affect the boost.
To remove the instrument cluster, you undo all the screws holding it in. Haynes manual. Chapter 12. Section 16. Page 261.
