dash again. i was wondering if there was a relay for the dash that may cause my rpms and spedo not to work. it is digital. my gas warning works but not the actual level.blinkers work and all the warning lights. everything flashes when i turn my car on. i replaced the power supply box and the speedo pulse generator thingy by the battery. my friends dad said it sounded like a relay. anyone know where this is? all help is greatly appreciated. i got pulled over doin 62 in 35. and didnt get a ticket. i dont want there to be a next time. thnx

 

this is a joke, right? you honestly cant tell the difference between 62mph and 35mph??!!

 

Haha...you know the Z is faster than she feels! Sometimes I'm driving over 70 and still feels like it's only 30. If it's well taken care of, the Z is a smooooooooooth ride even at high speeds.

Anyways, I think you should get it fixed ASAP though, at least before your next emissions testing. If your speedometer doesn't move, your odometer doesn't move and that's illegal (happened to me for a short while before I changed my speedo cable). So for the moment, just ease off on the accelerater and don't worry about it too much. But once the emissions notice arrives in the mail...no more procrastinating!

 

Check your rear wiper fuse. If blown, your dash will go out.
