Cold start: Takes two tries
I dont know whats up with this. When I bought the car, it always fired up with just a flick of the key, now it takes a crank of about 3 seconds to 5 seconds, it starts and dies immediately. The second attempt always fires her up and she continues to run.
Whats causing this?
I've tried different methods of starting her, like turn the key and wait for the fuel pump to shut off before cranking, and turning the key immediately to start without waiting. Both provide the same 2nd start syndrome.
After it's been run for a while (like to work), shut her off and turn the key and she immediately starts, but leave her sit for a couple hours and it's the same situation. Does this sound like the CHTS is going bad, or the FPR, or what are your ideas?
Thanks

I'm having that same problem with an '85 I just bought. I'll let you know what I come up with however at this point, it's a little further down on the priority list. This cars been sitting for a couple of years. Last Sat. it was timing belt/waterpump/seals/tensioner. This Sat., it's front struts and exhaust. Next Sat. will be fuel/tune up time
