so after i changed my differential fluid today i noticed a small coolant leak just behind the passenger side of the engine coming from a small device that had a coolant line going through it, a small vaccum line that wasn't attached for a valve that opens and closes where the coolant flows. The other side goes in through the fire wall i'm guessing to the heater core. Now until now i never knew why the air flowing through the vents was so hot but i'm guessing it's cuz that vaccum line wasn't connected... anyways, here are somepictures and i'd like to know if anyone could please tell me what exactly this is and if i'm guessing right and how to fix this broken hose that is very stuck inside...

 

Yep... it's the water switch / valve. I removed that from FDC_GUY's Z31T because his heater core was leaking. I just looped the two hoses together.
