Another question: digital dash power supply
My digital dash seems to be fully functional, except that the trip computer display is too dim to see when I have my lights on(during the day). I can see it OK with my lights off. Is this a symptom of the power supply going bad? Somebody on Ebay has a power supply for sale and claims this is a symptom.

yes, it could be. pull the power supply and use a good strong magnifying glass to see if there are cracked solders where the connecting pins go through the circuitboard.
