Was driving to pick up some pizza. Went around a small s turn and then the car seemed to die. Giving it gas was killing the car but if I let off the clutch with it in gear it would try to run but would just die after a few seconds. Stopped and the car would turn over but not start. Pulled the key for a minute and sat thinking. Put the key in and turned it on. Fuel pump kicks on. Started the car and it ran for a little bit but giving it gas caused it to die. Thought I maybe ran out of gas so got a ride and put some in. Same thing. If I let it sit for a few minutes it will run for a little bit. But giving it gas does the exact opposite of its purpose. Need advice. Has a new filter. I'm thinking the pump is failing.

If it is the fuel pump is it feasible to just install an external inline walbro instead of the stock unit?
