84 non turbo won't start

84 non turbo won't start

ok my 84zx wouldn't start so i took it to the shop the mechanic first disconected the main wire to the distributor cap and replaced it with a screw driver looking thing with a light and it started right up so he replaced the distributor cap and rotor and said the module. now its doing the same thing again. the car will turn over but won't start sometimes no all the time . i drove it home last night and this evening it would turn over but not start and about ten minutes later it started. any ony have any ideas what this could be or what i should check

had same problem. ended up replacing distributer. id just buy one from a junkyard.

Sounds like a crank angle sensor problem. I had the same problem, as have several other people. Have your distributer checked out, before anything else.
