Hi, new to ZDriver and looking for advice to diagnose/repair the Tachometer in the cluster of a 1984 300ZX, Base Model, produced in September 1983. I find used Speed/Tach clusters on eBay but all are indicated for 84 models made after the production date of my car. The closest I could find is for models made between January1984 through March of 1984. So my questions to this collective knowledge base are:

Does the Month and Year my car was made, September 1983, preclude a later made used cluster from properly working when installed in my car?

Is there a repair service available to repair my cluster? If so please send me contact information on same.
