6x9's
6x9's
just curious if a set of 6x9 speakers (kenwood 3 ways) will fit in the rear speaker compartments or not without some stupid aftermarket grills, or if there are decent looking aftermaket grills that will let them fit. i dont have them here so i cant check but i want to know if theyll fit or if i should tell my folks to sell them.
thanks

good sound, good deal
i recently installed infinity reference 6.5" component speakers in the front and back of my '85 Z. the sound is great and the cost wasn't too bad. i do suggest a component system for the Z b/c of the angles of the original mounting locations. regular speakers (cone & tweeter combined) aim the rear speakers at the back glass, and the front speakers aim at your feet. place a little foam (like the stuff you'd buy to seal around your window) between the woofer and the metal housing of the rear wheel wells, seal with silicone, and you're good to go. here's a link to the infinity reference. good luck. http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...0&I=1086000CS+

Go to Audiobahn's website, they have the best quality 6-1/2" speakers that you could want. They are a little pricey, but you definately get what you pay for. They have 2-way, 3-way, crossover's, the whole nine yards. Trust me I used to install car sterio equipment before the economy started to sag.
