Hey guys I am new to the forums please don't criticize, so basically my car has been acting weird recently, whenever I drive my car for a long period of time and then shut it off It stays in idle even after I shut off and pull key out of ignition completly. I try to put key back in and turn off but it makes weird cranking noise, then it turns off. Do yall have any idea?

 

My understanding is that your ignition and fuel system are not shutting down. Could be the ignition switch and/or a faulty fuel pump relay. You can pull the relay or fuse to check the fuel pump. As for the ignition, you can find a number of suggestions as to testing here.

It is also very helpful if you add some deets about your car: NA/Turbo, year, etc.
