Whats goin on fellas.....

Later on this week im most likely buying the 87 300zx, im not sure if its turbo, ill know tomorrow, but i went with the guy, and he drove me down the block and MAN that thing ran like a beauty.

Its black, a few minor things that need to be fixed, but supposedly the engines fine, im bringin a mechanic to check it out tomorrow, ima be gettin it for $500.

Can you guys tell me as much as u can about this car? and do all z31's have the same engine?Im new to this "sportcar" thing so bear with me, thanx

if its a turbo, it should have a spoiler and a boost guage, and the engines plenum cover will say turbo 3000 on it. also, in 87 the turbo wheels had a charcoal clearcoat on them. and yes, all USDM z31s had the same engine, the vg30e, or vg30et in the turbo. its a SOHC 3.0 liter v-6, and the na was about 180hp while the turbo was around 200hp . in japan there was the 200zr, which was a z31 with a rb20det, a 2.0 lieter intercooled, single turbo DOHC inline v-6. also, i believe the 300zr had a vg30de, a DOHC 3.0 v6.
