Hey there i am a new Z owner and i am having some issues figuring out what is going wrong. I have a 1985 2+2 turbo, she has been having issues with bogging down while i drive. I just recently replaced my fuel pump and spark plugs to see if that would help. WHile they defiantly needed replacing i am still having this issue. Any ideas, anything is appreciated.

 

I've never dealt with this problem, but check your fuel pressure regulator if you haven't already. I believe a faulty FPR would cause some bogging issues while driving.

 

An engine that bogs down when accelerating is either sucking too much air, not getting enough fuel, or misfiring. I had this problem particularly when going uphill and the problem turned out to be the fuel filter. After replacing it I gave the old one a good shake only to hear something inside bounce around!
