my friend troy is trying to sell me his fixer upper for 250 dollars its missing the wheels and the engine well its burnt up litteraly.... the engien caught on fire... do yall think its worth 250 dollars pretty much for the shell... everything else workso n the car clear title.. etc.. what do yall think ?

 

Why'd ya put this in the 280zx Appearance Exterior, Interior section? If you need a shell... I guess it's worth it. I wouldn't take a burnt car if it was free.

Oh, yah, I think it's completely worth $250, Nismo619! Even it you decide you don't want to restore it, you can part it out and make 3-4 times what you paid for it by selling the individual parts on eBay, assuming you're getting more than just the shell (that portion of your post wasn't exactly clear). Yeah, it can be very time-consuming to remove, clean, photograph and list the parts, then box, ship and keep track of your auctions, but if you have the time, you can profit from it. I bought and stripped 3 Z's last year - $5K profit by selling the parts individually on eBay.

 

well i went out and took a look at the car today... the interior must eather of been redone or the car was parked in a gaurge all of its life odomiter reads 265,143 it had a rebuild engine but one of the fuel injectors looks like it mjust of leaked on the right side of the engine most of the wires are burnt chrispy.. i think all i would need is a new hood new engine and a wire harness.. im thinking really hard on this deal...i honestly think i should get my 83 digital dash running first thou..

 

UPDATE i have tooken my time and expected the car better major engine fire on the right side main harness burnt to crispy critters.. paper work showing new rebuilt engine, but didint replace the fuel injectors.. front windsheld cracked minor dents 2 of them... ": no wheels ": no steering wheel " No ECU ... NO MUFFLER>. any body know what parts i could use off the z31 to use on my 280zx turbo ? please list all things i need to take off.. befre the people send hte car to the junk yard.. unless i come up with 100 dollars for the car.,..

 

is there no parts at all that i can use off the z31 on the 280zt ? diff ? lugs ? calipers ? anything ? dissy ?

 

You could use the ecu plug wiring for a Z31T ecu conversion... Differential is an R200... tho it's an open diff, so it's not much of an improvement. You could do a front strut conversion like Frank did (see his thread about that). Fuses... relays... yada yada yada. You could ebay other stuff. Use your imagination...

Question will the z31 300zx seats fit inside the 280zx turbo ? driect bolt in ? what do yall think ? does nay one know ?
