its been a while since i posted the question about the wheels i want to get. to refresh everyone they are Work VS SS. origanly i was going to buy them new and the measurements were 18x8.5" offset unknown. i recently found the wheels i want in ebay store, they are used but a hell of alot cheaper. the problem i was having was with the need of spacers or not. none of the places i was looking to get them from would email me back to tell me the offset. so here is the link to the ones i found on ebay, all info on them are there.

i know the bolt pattern is right and the sizes will fit but now that i have some offset specs, does anyone think i will need spacers? thanks.

 

Based upon rough calculations ..

18x8 e40 ... you will LOSE 23mm (<1") to the strut. The outside edge of wheel will stick out approx 3mm

18x9 e31 ... you will LOSE 26mm (>1") to the strut. The outside edge of wheel will stick out 24mm

This is based upon differences from stock 16x7 e30 setup.

 

so no need for spacers right? if i read it right the (rear)18x9.5 will stick out roughly a little over 1", and the (front)18x8.5 will be hardly noticeable. thats if i read that right.
