And once again I turn to z-drivers. 84z with an oily( not sure if brake fluid or oil or what) leak under my dash. It ends up all over my clutch petal and makes it freakin slippery. I just want to figure it out before it becomes a major problem. All the import repair places had no answers for me. thanks.

 

The seals (o-rings) have failed on the speedometer cable. The transmission oil is traveling up the cable, into your speedo head, then out into the cabin. Yuck!! Gotta' fix that quick.

Speedometer Pinion Housing Seal, P/N 32710-14600, $ 0.95

Don't forget to clean out the speedo head and the cable or you'll start getting false readings later.
