inner tire wear
Hello,
I'm new to this site and i hope i can get some good advice on what to do. Here is the story. I lowered my Z a while back but ever since i did that the inside of my tires wears out with the quickness. i have to buy new tires every year. I need to know what to do. do i have to raise the suspension back up, camber kits, i even heard once that i would have to cut and weld something. I'm willing to try just about anything before i lift it back up.

No camber kit for the rear end
Sorry, there is no kit for the rear end. Replace the bushings and rotate the tires is all you can do. Or, you can cut and weld the arms to make up for the drop. It is a very typical condition. Especially on lowered cars. I suggest used tires. Also, don't run with much gas as it is heavy and worsens the condition.

But you're right about one thing. Good bushings will help fix the problem if the bushings are worn. And this is pretty much given for the age of the car. Also, verify the control arms and rear subframe brace are straight.
Used tires? Ever try finding a GOOD pair of tires used? And then finding two of the same tires. Used tires are a stupid idea.
Don't run with as much gas? Sorry. I like to make sure I have a full tank of gas when I fill up. And with todays soaring gas prices, I'd like to make sure the tank is fairly full as who knows how much tomorrows gas will jump in price. You aren't saving anything here by doing this.
The ST springs are one of the biggest drop springs available. If you really want that stiff of a ride, go buy the SS springs from http://www.courtesyparts.com . They'll provide as stiff of a spring and still maintain the factory ride height.

yea that is true
there are camber kits that kind of work.
first you should verify taht is the problem though and not something else. if your shock and springs are good i would next look at the crossmemeber bushings. im sure they havent been changed and this can help.
i had an 87ZXT with sst lowering springs and didnt have the problem you are describing. if your total rear suspension is up to A quality then with a drop of 1.5 inches you should not be having to much trouble.
im not trying to discourage you from the camber kit, but that will only help fix the problem, and not solve what really is wrong.

great! so now it's good to know that there are camber kits for the rear. i was kind of iffy about cutting...
Ok, so i will start this weekend by checking the rear bushings. i will need your help on this, i'm not too mechanically inclined but i have enough tools and jacks and stands to do most of it by my self.
once i lift the rear end, where exactly do i look for the bushings. I will buy them this week if i can and change them on the weekend. How much am i looking to send?
i do know that my rear end suspension, as far as springs and shocks are good, but the rest, i really don't know. I would love to just fix everything that is wrong, and old, first and then look into the camber kits.
I thank you all for helping me fix my problem.
