Hi Everyone I just bought a 86 300zx saturday and im looking forward to you fellow zxers helping me.
My oil pressure gauge is reading low (only 2 bars at idle) until i step on the gas then it goes to about half way. I ve been reading some old posts and everyone is saying oil pressure sending unit or something by the oil filter. My first question is how hard is the oil sender to change and if i need an oil sender will my car be getting proper oil lube now b4 i change it or no.

It moves but just registers low at idle.

 

if your oil level (dipstick) is right, you should be ok. the oil sending unit is most likely shot, but it wont hurt your motor.
