Dying a Dash
Having trouble finding a blue dash for my 84 Z31, but have found a black one in perfect condition locally. Instead of changing out every little piece of trim and console to black would dying work? I have heard it can be done, but wanted to hear from someone who has actually done it or knows someone who has done it. It just doesn't seem like I would get the proper shade.
Well, maybe one more

yes, it can be done, but, it is generally better to start with a color that is lighter than the one you plan on changing to. Not sure how well it look going from black to blue. Most likely would not match the rest of the interior of your car.

Thanks, for the reply. I may end up having to dye the rest of my trim black, which I am not really looking forward to.
I did like what AZ ZBum did to his seats (Although they are cloth and not vinyl) , they came out looking good. May try the same with the seats.
