I think that I remember hearing that the sideview mirrors on my 1985 300ZX Turbo will fold flat against the vehicle when not in use. I believe that the vehicle was designed with this feature for overseas shipping. Is this correct?

 

i am pretty sure almost all cars have fold in mirrors. My Chevy and volvo have them, and so do all of the american cars that my famly owns. But yes, the z does have fold in mirrors.

 

All cars do not have foldin mirrors. I have a 1999 Camaro and the mirror did not fold in when I smack it going into the garage.

 

my parents just got a 2004 maxima 3.5 SL and there is a switch on the inside that will fold the mirrors against the car automatically. It is awesome.
P.S. I did not say ALL CARS HAVE FOLD IN MIRRORS, I said ALMOST all.

 

the Z31 doesn't have fold in mirrors. they have breakaway mirrors. If you push hard enough, you can get the mirrors to fold back. Push too hard and you'll break something.
