cruise control
Simple
I did it. It was in the way of what I was doing one day and since it didn't work I took it out. I didn't remove any of the electrical though.
1. Look under your hood. On the throttle there are to cables, one is from the gas pedal you can follow it to the firewall. The other one goes towards the passenger side along the firewall and it connects to what I call the actuator.
2. Once you have identified the cable you want to remove, undo the jamnuts and the cable should come right out, you may need to open the throttle in order to maneuver the cable out. It has a stopper on the end of it.
3. Now go to the actuator and undo the bolts holding the bracket for the actuator.
4. All that should be holding it now is a vaccumm line and some electrical cables. Disconnect the harness, secure it to something so it doesn't flail around.
5. Remove the vaccumm line, plug it and secure it.
If you want you can also remove the throttle plate/bracket and have only the throttle cable from the gas pedal attached.
I did this several months ago so my memory is a bit foggy on the details, but this should be enough info for you to figure out on your own what I left out.
