I'm trying to put an 88 gll steering wheel (4 spoke) in an 85 gll (2 diagonal spoke).

Both FSM's show the same 4 pin connector between the slip ring and the steering column. Problem is the 85 has a 6 pin connector (5 used 1 open). I'm trying to figure out what each wire does, so I can wire the connector to the new wheel.

Does anybody know what the deal with this connector is, or have a diagram?

get the fsms and look at the circuit diagrams for a start. 88 and 85 likely different.

 

I have both and they are the same diagram. That's why I'm confused. They both show the 4 pin plug thats on the 88 wheel
