Young and Stupid

Ok Im new to Zdriver so let me tell you some stuff. Im 18 years of age live in Greenville SC and belong to The Upstate Z Club, I drive a candy orange 1982 280zx with a Flat Black soon to be painted hood. My car is non turbo but I have plans for a rb25 skyline engine some time soon, fore I am joining the air force and wether they know it or not they will be funding this . Tonight I was out and aparently some kid though that his yr 2000+ eclipse with a doughnut right front tire could take me.
I must have given him a 3 car head start before I thru my Z back into 3 and guned it poor kid... Then some guys stoned out of their mind wanted to fill my gas tank was strange, I just went home. Street racing my Z is fun but im Young and Stupid

Back In The Day

OR BLOW THROUGH A GREEN LITE WOUND TIGHT IN 3rd RUNNING NECK AND NECK WITH THE OTHER GUY. SGT JONES WAS VERY UNDERSTANDING. HE WAS AT SAME LITE WAITING FOR HIS SIDE TO TURN GREEN. 340 CUDA vs 383 CHARGER, POLICE OFFICER JUDGED IT A TIE, SENT BOTH OF US HOME WITH A WARNING(3AM ON A SUN MORNING).
THEY DON'T MAKE UNDERSTANDING OFFICERS LIKE THAT ANY MORE!!

A bunch of my friends are cops... one of them drives a Boxster. Kept telling me how fast it was all the time. When I asked if he wanted to race, he said "well, it's not that fast!" even he knew the almighty Z would shred his little kraut slurping bucket o' bolts.

Rod.

Hey Bryan this is Josh, You know the VP of the Upstate Z Club. I goof off just as much if not more than the next guy, however the negative outlook of this nature could hurt the club. Just a thought for the future, don't include the name of our club and street racing in the same post Thanks,

P.S. If you would have lost, I would have given you HELL!

Hey No problem! I had to jump on our Persident two weeks ago for sending a letter to Columbia with his views on traffic cameras. At the bottom he put Pres. of the Upstate Z club. Which tells them that we all have the same views, which is in no way correct. But like I said not being mean at all, I did the same thing a while back and got the same speech. And I'm older! Like I said glad you won just be carefull!

I do not condone street racing in any form however I am not opposed to putting the fear of god into some VTEC revving punk who deserves it, my 1979 ZX is damn near dead just from general wear, however with my mighty 98rwhp I am still alive & autocrossing.

I am the cheese that gets results!

Bryan... it's a sad sad day if you are going into the Air Force. Even sadder if you think you will have enough money to do ANYTHING with your Z, until you make staff. By your enthusiasm, I would say you enlisted for 6 years, with a guaranteed E3 by the end of TechSchool.. sad dude.. I'm tellin ya. Not too long ago, I was in the same boat. $390/twice a month doesnt go far. but, if you do make it... I've got alot of friends all over with some pretty fast cars let me know if you need to know anything about the air force... or whatever, I was in for a while.

Well

I wish to join the air force the the training and benifts, I am learning how to work on air craft engines, and feel that it would be a fair trade to learn for when i get out of the military I will be able to get a decent job working for an air line company of some sort. I have worked at a small airport in St. Petersbug Florida, at witch time we had 1 turbine mechanic and he had a 6 figure income and drove possibly the sweetest porshe I have ever seen. My grandfather was in the air force for 8 years and now he sits on hit bottom deciding what he wants to watch on TV each day hes only 54 yrs of age.... If i can come out the service like either of those to I will be more than happy with my life and will continue to make love to my Z.

hey bro, more power to ya.. I was thinking the same thing when I went in as a crew cheif.. I worked with a lot of engine guys. Hope everything goes well, but unless you live in a city with a Boeing plant, or something along those lines, there isn't much work out there. I live in Birmingham, AL (about 1million on population) and there is NO work for any aircraft maintenance, and I am a 5-Level crew chief. Good luck though man..

Hats Off To Officers Brown, Vanscoy And Jones. If They Stopped You For Various Youthful Indescretions, You Got A Warning If You Treated Them Square. If You Chose To Be A Smartass Or Ignore The Warning, You Would Have Have Thought A Ton Of Bricks Had Fallen On You.

I'm Getting Older But I'll Never Grow Up, Bj
