I decided to degrease my engine compartment today, after doing so, it wont rev past 2500 RPM. It acts just like it has a rev limiter. I checked the dist cap and it was dry, everything else looked normal. any ideas?

 

check the inside of the airflow meter...check the inside of the TPS....dry everything out...check for corrosion now, use electrical cleaner...check your connections to both these things too....dry everything out...use the cleaner and dry again...

i bet you got water on the TPS ..

yep, it was the TPS. had water in the connection. I would never thought of checking that. thanks.
