WTB: Services of good mech.in N.E/NY/NJ
Hi, I want any help available in getting my 83 280ZXT running properly, and I'm stuck out here between dealer no-nothing service and a local shop which couldn't care less. My car is having an intermittent heat soak issue, that is, when it is fully warmed up (meaning not just sitting there idling), shut down and then restarted in 10 mins, it has an awful stumble, sputter and poor power for 30-45 secs, then it normalizes.
I have had the car tuned, cap, rotor, wires, fuel pressure tested, injectors ok, but this problem got a lot worse after I added an intercooler. I can't get any help from the I/C installer, they're just pipe makers! I have yet to find an honest service center with advanced enough equipment to test the ECU, all connections, etc and DRIVE THIS car enough to make it's sputter start up!!! I'll travel within N.E, or NY/NJ/E.Pa if necessary for QUALITY CARE AND SERVICE FROM SOMEONE WHO WON'T USE THE AGE OF MY CAR OR THE I/C AS AN EXCUSE TO NOT PIN-POINT AND FIX THIS PROBLEM!
Please help, thanks
