1981 280zx 2 seater converted to turbo with Nissan 5-Speed located in Suffolk, VA.

PM me and I'll shoot you the address and set up a time to pick it up. It'll have to be towed unless you want to fix the heater hose thats busted (otherwise it'll overheat) and deal with the absurdely bad handing due to the busted ball joints.
She otherwise runs awesome (or atleast she did last time I drove her a few months ago.

I really wanted to keep her but I've been promised by my wife if I let her go then she'll get me a slick top before next winter I've got my 260Z to hold me over til then.

 

Oh, and here's a few pics. Also, the car is not perfect but what you see in the pics is what you get (except for the headlight covers). Those have been removed and were then destroyed by the USPS.
I have the title (good clean title) but she is not registered and has not been for about 13 months.






Interior is pretty much gutted behind the drivers seats and the front has no carpet.

 

S/C 3.0 Really wants a Z bad. I am trying to get ahold of him to see if he is insterested.

 

Well if s/c wants it then he gets it. Sorry guys but I owe this man a lot and giving him my Z is the least I can do.

for serial??? i want a 240 ubber bad...one that "ran when parked" or still does run...but im picky about the allowable rust..no rust holes...no full cover surface rust...im cool with the battery box....no frame rust unles i can scrape it off/media blast it....and yeah...no possible serious rust on non removable body panels.... ive been tryin to find one close though i got a couple leads...one guy is getting rid of 3 for 600...they ran when he drove them into storage 12 years ago ugh.... but im waiting for a body report from him and see if i can get his 71 manual for like 200 or something... its in iowa so i can get a trailer out there...

EDIT: used to have a Z32. got into to much **** with it plus i had lost comp. in a cylinder so i was like...ok its time to send it on its way

 

Then Don't! come down here. 100% hummididty year round down here don't alow for "Rust Free" or "damn near None"

 

i didnt say rust free....relativly rust less....i just dont want to deal with holes...shitty frames or rusted non removable body parts..a (front) fender or hood is no big....but the rest im picky on...thats why ive been looking for people that god good project cars from AZ shipped em over and never worked on them...thats when i come in....or if J gives me the 260 and keps his hard fought for 280 zxt

 

Oh I'm keeping the 260. Almost everyday I search over another part of the car and she really is a fine example, structurally speaking. There literally is only surface rust on a few spots on the car. The frames and floors are virtually spotless. I'm going to get her running properly then I'm going to spend the winter in the garage striping her down to the chassis and taking care of any surface rust under the car and get her undercoated. Then come spring time I can worry about the actual outer body work.

My ZX started life as an AZ car before becoming a So-Cal car, and then a South Dakotan car, then a Virginian car finally. So hopefully s/c wants her and she'll return to her originaly home in AZ.

I'm going to hold my wife to the getting another ZX though. I love the 260 already but my heart is stuck on the S130

I've been very lucky with my 240Z...although I've had some mechanical/ electrical problems, mostly due to non-use, there is very little rust....just a little surface rust on the rear deck and up above the windshield. But the important thing is, I had it at the auto repair place, and they said there is no rust on the frame rails. BTW I bought the car on Ebay from a guy in New Mexico. I think the southwest might be the best place to find an old, rust-free, Z-car.

nice car i hope s/c 3.0 gets it... as for me the next z car i will be buying will be a running one... lol i have my eyes on the prize right now i found a 240z thripple carbs at the local junk yard completely rebuilt engine 4 speed for only 400 dollars no interior... stats runs anddrives needs minor body work..

Illinois cant be too far from New Mexico, maybe 5-6 states, thats nothing. So go down to that Junkyard that Nismo619 was talking about and buy that 240 for $400. Besides Nismo has plenty of cars already.
