So I want to keep the car as original as possible but I do want some new wheels.. Who has some great looking wheels and where did you get them? I went to a shop around here and well they said they cant help me because of the off set.. Whats a good looking wheel for our cars?

Well your question is one of personal preference...what kind of wheels do you like. True, our offset makes it a little harder to find direct fit wheels but adapters are fairly easy to find for not so direct fit wheels. Check out my sig pic, these are 15" Eagle Hammer rims...old school and a direct fit...sometimes you don't have to look at brand new stuff. Here check out this link and look at the rims, most come with all you need to put them on your car.

No late model cars have the offset our old RWD cars do so you have only a few that literally bolt on.

You can use wheel adaptors to make up about 30 to 40mm of offset then you basically run 4-lug FWD type wheels. You can buy from a large selection of 17x7 or 17x8 wheels with +40 offset. Your lip or dish is reduced this way but you have nice looking modern wheels like Rod's lousy 18's.

OR, do a 5-lug swap then you can choose from the 5-lug +30 offset variety of wheels. You may still need some spacers in back.

Doing a swap to modern wheels is no easy task. It will require some research and understanding of what your car has and what you're looking for. Its nothing like driving a late model car into a tire shop and just picking out some wheels, bolt them on, and go home.

I did 4 to 5 lug wheel adaptors so I'm running FWD type 5-lug wheels. I foun the 5-lug wheels were available in larger width and even more wheel designs. Mine are 18x8 and I foolishly did not buy 18x9 for the rear which were available at the time but are now NLA!
