I did some searching on the forums about the original FSM and read that it had color wiring diagrams. Does either of the FSM's above have the color wiring diagrams or is it just the original FSM?

I downloaded the FSM from carfiche.com and it was in black and white.

No man...unfortunately not. Only the original FSM manual...the books. Have the colored wiring diagrams. I have one for each of my 4 Z's. Anyway the CD you buy is in black and white. And you use Adobe Acrobat..to read and print it from your computer. Hope this helps. And may I add...that is a tight 280zx you got there bro'.

^ Not a problem man. Anytime....your Z...is what I want my '82 slicktop to turn out like. Of course mine will be silver and black. But I will be using the same bodykit you have. The MSA Type II. Also I will be shaving all the side markers off too.

Yeah the two tone will look pretty sweet, but i am waiting to see your bluestreak clone. Now that will be one tight Z.

service manual

I have seen a cd on ebay, for little $ which cover several years, both turbo and non-turbo. while the manuals are on cd you can print the whole thing or just he page you are looking at... just food for thought..... i will also say that i have looked at the black dragon parts cat, and it does contain some good illustrated parts breakdown pics too...

anybody know where to get a scan of the engine removal section of the FSM for the 1981 280zx turbo supplement? Xenon is missing that section from the scanned supplement. I've also emailed the admin, and haven't heard anything back.

I have the 81 supplement. I can scan it for you, but the 81T is no different than the 82-83T.

I believe you when you say they're the same. I guess I assumed they would be slightly different because the other years don't have the oil cooler. I'll just get that section from another year, then. Thanks!

All auto trans 280zxt's (81-83) had the oil cooler. All 81T's were auto, so all 81T's had the oil cooler.
