Just saw on the Las Vegas news that there was a high speed chase in L.A. Guess what he was driving??? A white 280ZX... any one on here???

 

Did they do the pit move on him? Hope the car didn't get trashed... what a foolieo.

looked like a turbo and no not basing that off of the hood.

 

I've seen a couple Z's on those cop shows before... "World's Worst Drivers" or something like that... one of them was a white Z31 that actually put the cops to shame for a bit. Then got his rear obliterated by the police car's ram guard.

 

I didn't know that people drove cars in LA!

 

They left the horse & buggy a couple years back I think... those people in Cali are just behind the times.

 

But aren't those Interceptors like SUPER powered? I heard those cop cars got some mean **** inside of them, made just for out performing race cars.

some highway patrol cars are just high performance factory cars.. all they do is chip cop cars... thats it... ive talked to cops when i was being detained... they were talking about there new cars and who's is better.. so i decided to get to the bottom of things... just a computer tune apparently

 

the crown vic has the 9c1 package aka the interceptor package. LT1 some other performance mods and no govener.

 

**** the crown vics. Piles of crap. The ones you have to be worried about are the new Intervention Angency units. ****en brand new chargers with the best model hemi. All blacked out and scary looking. Those guys look like latin american military and they sure act like it too. . . .

yup... its all about mopar.. dodge loves giving **** to cops... highway partol around here is hummer (not dodge i know) then chargers, vipers, and intrepids or something like that. and others i forget.

 

still sounds like crap handling rides ... over here they have t5r's Porches and m5's JIKES!!!

haha... highways are pretty straight... so i dont think they need to handle to INCREDIBLY.... just go fast and stay on the ground.

 

I saw the clip on TV too. "A white sports car in California led police on a long chase with speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour!" Did you see the cop hit the car at the end, even after the guy surrendered? Why???

trust me crown vics aint all that fast, they got 250 hp, and they weight in at 4000ish pounds in full trim. they arent areodynamic, so the radio is what makes them fast. i drive these all day long, and test problem the cops whine aboot, its fun, but the only diff between any cop edition vehicle and the stock unit, is rev limiter and the speed limiter. thats it, now you all know the secret.
