what happens if i remove my pop off valve

trying to boost higher got boost controller but do i need to remove it to boost higher than 7?

I had mine removed to use my controller and plugged it with a 1" pipe thread plug. I believe the stock one pops off at 8 psi...at least it did on mine. Bad thing is that you could overboost badly like I did if your controller messes up. I believe you need an 1 3/8" wrench to get that off easily too. Good luck and hope this helps.
