Well Im 100% that it never gets anywhere near as cold here as it does up there but, regardless wet sanding in the winter does in fact suck. I only did it because well, it was my job and I had to but, it's good to hear that you're about ready to make some progress. I would imagine that a gallon of paint is plenty to do your car, is that already reduced or do you have that to do yet? If it's a gallon unreduced then you'll make two gallons total and that will definitely be plenty. Goodluck with it all.

1 gallon can paint a zed twice, believe me i know, thats 3 coats of base each time, and 3 coats of clear each time, you may need 1.5 gallons of clear, depends on how you paint and your gun.

yeah i got gallon reduced of paint and more than a gallon of clear...
what i was going to do is paint the body kit first and roll the car outside ...then let the kit dry up and bring it into the house and roll the car back in and paint the car...this will give me more room in the garage then wet sand everything n buff n all that and put it together

Well wet sanding in the winter is no problem at all if you use some warm water . . .
I do it all the time at the shop. Keeps you're fingers and flexible and blood flowing through your viens. Being cold and wet sucks. Might as well make it wet but warm

Make sure you test fit everything prior to final paint. You'd be surprised how much those ground effects pieces can be off...

thats a good idea there SHADY i was thinking about that as i was sanding yesturday....i think i might just do that...save me a WHOLE lotta fudging around

I was going to sand some more today but i worked untill 8 pm and i was exhausted when i got home so ill go at it tomorrow...get her done!

and LWW I already had the kit on about gazzilion times because i moulded the gaps to the body panels so there is NO gaps between body and the kit whatsoever....

yup
only problem i can see having with painting with the kit on is paint not getting into every nook and cranny...like underneath the headlight buckets where the airdam is...or the back bumper where it tuckes underneath the rear panel...but i guess after i finish all the bodywork (after wetsanding and buffing) i can take the dam and the rear bumper off and blend in whatever i couldnt get to, its going to be underneath everything anyways, i really wont care..

Actually, I would paint everything off the car with your base coat, then assemble, hit it with another coat and then clear it.

That way, your nooks and crannies get covered and the tint is the same on all the pieces for the final coat.

Unless you have enough room to do everything at the same time...

you'd be surprized what paint will get into, if you want to look pro, paint all door jams and any awkward spots first (under body kits, under hoods etc.), base and clear, then install everything, then paint all as one, it will look perfect, for door jams and stuff like that use low tach foam tape to seal the gap, but leave it back a 1/8" for an instant blend, you cant even see the line then. and if you can polish in the door jam, not on the body. and take off your bumpers, youll be glad you did, nothing says macco like dry finish paint under a bumper, its 8 bolts and easy. and take out your headlights too.
