thats gonna be expensive no matter what you do, there is a local decal shop here that could do them just from pix of them and my car from measurements, but any enthusist could prolly tell the difference. that and they may be expensive, ive never asked, but i could really fool people with my car, its already silver and has a whale tail!

I've been calling around here in SoCal and have talked to a few shops who say they can do it. I've talked to Pierre Z (Nissan authorized shop for the Vintage Z program) about doing a complete restoration of my ZXR and he indicated that he has contacts that can do it. My brother in-law is an art director at ABC and he has contacts as well. Rough estimate is about $100-$200 but I have to somehow drive the car over and I still don't have it running? I want to first drop the gas tank and get it boiled and resealed before trying to get the car running, just haven't had the time lately.

on another note, has anyone removed or installed a ZXR whale tail? I've been trying to figure how to remove mine.

Yes i did, you have to open the hatch, remove the small black plugs ( and store them where you can find them)

Then drill out the rivets .. you can reinstall new rivets when installing the wing, i would also use some adhesive .. as stock it has none .. it would prevent dirt so rot from coming under it

any how keep me update on the decal kit as im in !! and i will definitively spend the $ let me know if you need a down payment

I dont think an enthusiasts could tell em apart from the real deal .. anyway certainly not over here as i have the only one

Why use decal's when you could have them painted on? I know, it'll cost more, but you'll never have to worry about them peeling up...

Good point but i would prefer decals as the would look more stock.
Next to that in holland we dont have to worry about peeling ... no cally sunshine.
Also the metarials have became of much better quality so they would not peal as bad as the old ones
