I think the hardest thing you'll have with your turbo should you decide to use it, would be compatibility with the stock manifold and layout of the original turbo. You can essentially use any turbo you wish, it's just the packaging constraints that lead people to certain ones over others. .60 a/r is just slightly smaller than the stock t3 which is .63.
