I keep it parked in the garage, when I drive it to work it's got the cover on.

it is pretty hard to see out of at night. i think some light tint all around is pretty nice. but no darker than 50%. it's just nice during the day really. it's easier to keep cool and reduces the glare.

I have 5% on my 3, and I love it. I don't do a lot of night driving in that car though. It's still not impossible to see out of at night

20% is a good amount for night time visibility and keeping the heat out. That's what I plan on putting on the mx5.

Highest I'd go is 30%.

I have it parked in the garage at the hot day, I don't drive it when it is hot outside so for me its not work it. I say if you don't park much outside during daytime no tint...looks much original that way

Limo in the rear and on the quarter windows. 30% in front. You dont have to worry about glare from headlights or HID's from behind at night and it keeps the car cool. Visibility was never an issue for me

This is from a meet hella long ago. From left to right:
Darrellbuddy TINTED w/5%, icice9 TINTED w/30%?, JohnMorisson not tinted, mine TINTED w/5%

LA has one of the largest Z populations I've ever seen. Just go to MSA in Anihiem for an afternoon. Bring some dough cuz you will want to buy something, or a lot of things, and talk shop with staff. Ask and they will definately be able to point you in the right direction. And if you drive out there odds are you will run in to another Z or two at MSA plus a bunch on the way.

OOorrrrrr you could be like me and organize a meet on your own via posts on craigslist and various Z/car forums. Through one meet my entire Z world changed. Found out about Zdriver, met a bunch of really cool people from this site and others. . .all kinds of good *****.

that was kinda what I was thinking, people like to walk up & take a look @ the inside, when I go out & eat & such. kinda proud of the interior.

my 79 slick top was tinted, I liked the look as well. maybe later after I get some other things done. thamks hermultra

np, I like it when people look inside my car...I tried to keep it as original as possible. I also purchased a 83 stereo/cassette player for my 82 (it does not work properly but look wise it does the job for me). And people cannot tell if it is 83 or 82 if the lights are not on (its day time anyway).
About the z club in my area I guess I should just announce it here that I am in West LA area and looking for a club to join. My bro in law also has a Z (Z31) so he is also looking to join a local club ()...

Off the shelf you generally have three levels of tine. 35%, 20%, and 5%

35% is the legal level (light tint) I think a Z looks great with tint.
I'm planning to do 20% all around. I occasionally think about 5% on the rear but its just too dark and from the rear is where the cops generally look and decide if they're going to pull you over or not.

Yeah I am late...Struggled too with the tint/no tint on a stock but went with 35% on sides and 20% on qtrs and hatch. Never looked back. You don't know when you might be stuck soaking uv. Not to mention the nasty curious.

Nice pics.
