Temperature sensor not working :(
 

ok, I wasted money already. I purchased another dash display for my 83 280zx non-turbo because the temperature gauge does not work. I checked the sensors, one problem I see 3 sensors connected to the thermostat housing and I'm not sure which one is the correct sensor to change. One guy told me to take a negative wire and connect it to my negative part of the battery and touch the wire to the sensors and which ever one that moves the needle on the gauage thats the sensor needs to be change. Will the problem is none is making the gauage move. I even called the guy I bought the dash from and he said he took that gauge off a running car and all the gauages was working just fine. [B]ANY SUGGESTIONS? WHICH ONE IS THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR ????[B] pepboys gave me one with two prompt then O'Reiley's gave me one that looks like a machine gun bullet lol. He said I'm suppose to take out the old one and replace it with that. Both autoparts don't know where the temperature sensor goes....does anyone have a suggestions or can you tell me which one is the correct sensor to change? All the fuses is good.
