Stupid Question...

My power antenna on my ZX is failing.... Can I use the new 350Z little rubber
antenna? I just came from a Nissan dealer & he told me that I can't use it...
I find that hard to believe... The only problem I see is that the angle might be off but a bit of the base trimming to the new antenna should take care of that... Any thoughts? Thanks in advance....

My thought is that he might mean that the connector on the bottom (to connect to the long wire in your car) is different on a 350Z.

If you have a 350Z antenna for free, then try it. If it costs something wouldn't a replacement power antenna be cheaper? The 280ZX can use those generic antennas or any 810-Maxima power antenna from 77-84.

The problem I have is the power the the antenna intermitent... I want to be able to use the radio all the time... Yesterday I disconnected the antenna power & left it in the up position.... Just hope no one snaps it walking by the car....

Then you don't need to replace the antenna. You need to replace the wiring from your radio to the antenna.
