Stalling problems???

I have an 82 280ZX with a manual transmission and every once in a while the car will just die on me and I don't know why. It does this at any rpm's and any temperature, but it seems to do it more when I push the car harder? Also, sometimes it will restart itself simply by leaving the clutch engaged and other times I have to turn the ignition off and restart it myself So if anyone has run into this problem please give me some suggestions. This one is a real stumper for me! Thanks, Ryan

Could be your ignition module, common cause of this problem. You could have a bad connection somewhere in your ignition wiring too. Check those out. I had that problem and it ended up being the IM.

Oh, yeah, just to be warned...

That Iginition Module is a sneaky bastard. So your best bet is to test with a known good one.
Testing the module itself is pretty hopeless. Doable, but the other way is a sure fix method of knowing.
