Someone stole my car! Help!
Glad to hear you got it back, but yeah don't sell it man. Keep it, you have done a lot to it. I couldn't let something go, if I spent a lot of time and money into something. Especially a car, that is why I have 4 cars to my name.
And if you sell it, you are letting them win. Fight it man, you can do it. But it is up to you bro', but I would keep it. Good luck on whatever you decide, just think about it bro'.

No one took a dump in my car, but there was junk in the trunk, and it smells like weed, which isnt that bad. I have to re-key it cuz the locks and iggy are all ****ed up. To get the car back to normal again, Id have to spend like another 350 bucks, to get it to the comfort level of my old truck, id have to spend like another 2 grand. I just dont wanna deal with almost 30 year old crappy wiring and antique computers any more. Its so great, YOU guys buy it, or pay me to keep it.
^ Agreed.
Take a break from it for a while if you need to. Older cars can frustrate the holy hell out of you from time to time. I think most of us have contemplated throwing in the towel a few times. I know I have, especially after it got stolen and trashed after I had put so much time, effort and money into it.
Bottom line, is that something attracted each and every one of us to these cars. There is an intangible quality about them that goes beyond common sense and reason. It appeals to some other level of our psyche.
Something tells me that when you realized it was stolen, you were heart-sick just like I was. Now that you have it back and see what a daunting task it is to bring the car back to newer condition you are a little put off by the reality of the challenge... Don't be.
Just park it for a while and come back to it when you feel better.
Rod.

I know if i throw the towel in now, all my efforts will be in vain, but if I keep going, I still wont have the car that I want when Im done. How much is this car worth? $2500? 3k maybe?

). However, if it's just a case of "there's too much work involved". Then I agree that you should just take a step back for a while.
Which one are you?

Anyway all said, and J made a good point. Are you an enthusiast, or this isn't the car you want in the first place? Worded differently, but the fact remains the same. Think about it bro', You wont get much money out of your Z. Unless a 280zx enthusiast comes along. And wants that particular Z. That is another reason why I love the 280zx more than any other Z. People put them down, and it makes me more proud to own 3 of them.
But yeah think about it hard man. And then figure out what to do. Not trying to tell you what to do. Just helping out a fellow Z owner. Good luck once again, with whatever you decide.
get this. last night my friends little sister (16) the one i helped find a car (96 eagle talon Tsi) finally bought that car and has had it for about a week and a half i think... last night it was stolen right out of there driveway... man. once i hop back into the Z scene the car is goin in the garage and stayin in the garage unless i take it out. same with motorcycle, unless i manage to blow 6k on a car instead of splitting the money for both.
