MY 81 zx is gone. Its white, 5 speed, black interior, mustang wheels with adapters. Im in Hayward, CA, car disappeared in SanLeandro Tuesday afternoon. If anyone sees a white Z with a bunch of stickers on the quarter window, and black wheels let me know, or better yet call the cops! Ive got a big TB, 2 turbo AFMs and some other goodies to unload now.

Sorry man, I know how it feels. I really hope you find it unharmed. I know that the first thing they did when they stole mine was to remove all of the stickers... Just so you know. Chances are, the guys that took yours did the same thing.

dude that sux... another Z stolen in the hayward area.. ill keep an eye out for your car.. but good chance someone took it out for a joy ride... thats what they did to my 280ZX when they stole it... the cops found it in Union city 5 days after i reported it stolen... but yeah man... i feel for you.... ill keep an eye out for your ride...

 

No security, if I get it back its gonna get an alarm and a FOR SALE sign. Ive got a post about all my spares that Im selling. Should have learned after they got all my CDs and stuff from inside. Theres a white 82-83 car with louvers In SL, so dont get it and mine confused.

Yah, really! Why not just keep her and add the "fire, theft and hail damage" coverage to your liability insurance policy? That's what I have on my Z's, and it doesn't cost that much more.

 

Damn John, that sucks! Dude, ive been in the same boat. I go it back 2 weeks later but it had been less than 5 miles from my house the whole time. Dont sell it. You got a beautiful slicky, keep it and just take a lil more precation. Was it taken from work? Or just around the SL area?

 

good luck--it sux that folks get so f'd up and jealous they have to steal someone else's stuff. hope it turns up ok. too many horror stories about returned stolen cars--my brother had that, twice, same car--classic mustandg 1965--stories suck, too. gooooddd llluuuucccckkk

Well I got my Z back, and many others have too. There is hope. They probably just took it for a joy ride

Ive dumped so much money and time into it that I'll never get back, and it still doesnt run as nice as it should, I want something I dont have to smog that I can shove a v8 in, like a camaro. My boss has enough surpluss race chassis parts and engines that I could build one badass F car for cheap. Trying to modernize old worn out **** is getting old, tiring, time consuming, and expensive. I dunno, if its cherry when I get it back, maybe ill just change the locks and do the alarm and insurance. But I will probably gut it and make it racey and even less driveable.

 

Geez, it seems like anyone that steals a 280ZX doesn't want to keep it and abandons it shortly after. Haha, is that good thing, or should we feel rejected? ^^

 

My girlfriend's neighbor had their camaro stolen, and it was found five days later, in better condition than it was before it was stolen. The thieves fixed some wiring problems inside of the cockpit, replaced some burnt out bulbs, and washed it. The owners were estatic when they got it back.

maybe it was just a lame addition of overhaulin, were they did air it, cause i've never heard of that happening.

 

they caught the thieves, and they said they were planning on selling the camaro for a quick buck, and that's why they fixed the little things that they did.

 

What a bunch of wierd o's. **** i'd of found the most riced out car and raced for pinks, then after you beat there ***, ditched the camero and sold the ricer.

Fawk, sorry man. There is still hope. I didnt get mine back for 3 weeks, and it was only about 4 miles from my house on some side street. So there is still a chance.
