Anyone heard of these silicone vacuum lines on Ebay? They are $115 for enough length to replace old vacuum hoses, I want to replace mine, don't care if they are colored, but can't really find an alternative to this (no one else really sells a convenient kit that comes with the lengths/sizes I need).
here is a link for it on ebay.
Ebay Silicone hoses
Anyway, I searched on this, so back off.

...they sell vac hose by the roll, you just cut it to length, same with the larger size hoses for the PVC ect.
....... but you can spend a ridiculous $115 on some blingin red hose if you want

The Evil Twin
Napa has good prices on black rubber hose. $1 to $1.50 a foot for most sizes.
3/8 is the smaller water lines (top of throttle body) 5/8 is the larger heater hose lines and the large vacuum lines on the intake.
I think the small long lines are 1/8 inch ?

Thats a complete rip off, you can find vacuum hose at any auto store for sometimes less than a dollar a foot
Take a look at this Summit Racing link, this is where i get my hose from, its always good to live 10 minutes away from 1 of their only three retail stores

And if you want to be all flashy i wouldn't go with silicone red eww, I would go with Stainless Steel braided hose which goes for cheaper than that stupid kit

I chose it over rubber because it should last longer and is more durable, wont collapse because the silicon walls are thicker and is more heat tolerant.
I have the imfamous auto air conditioner. I don't want to go thru the trouble of having to change this out again.
I have about 20-30 maybe more? feet left over from my project. I used it on the motor too.
I bought the whole roll for about 40?? dollars or so.
The silicone kits offered on ebay seem to have several of different diameter hoses.
I just got the one size, howvever, as I said, the walls are really thick and won't ever collapse. The reason for using the silicone is the reliability.
You all know how succeptible our cars are to vaccum leaks, fix it right and forget it.
It is a bit pricy...

The vacuum diagram in my chiltons book is also somewhat daunting, I suppose the only way to learn is to jump in and do it though. And where did you get your silicone hose? I haven't had time to go back to advance auto yet. . . thanks
--Went to advance auto, didnt have any of the sizes I think I need, (for sure on the 1/8", still trying to get exact on the others)
