Don't sell or part it out, but I would look for another coupe without as much rust. Keep that one for parts.

I got my 1st '79 280zx for $600 running strong. It worked great until the master cylinder for the brakes went out and sent me into a berry bush off of a 6 foot banked corner... I was going to try to fix it, but the unibody thing was a little too much for my forklift/chain body straightener. I kept it for parts and got another '79 280zx for $200 with a horrible engine, bad interior, but fairly straight body and 2 little spots of rust. After completely tearing out the interior to metal and swapping for the first Z's, pulling engine/getting it rebuilt with aluminum flywheel/ Centerforce II Clutch/ Cam and other goodies the car is really starting to take off.

My only regret is that I should have spend a little bit more money for a much better car, so less fixing work would have had to been done and much more "go fast" work could happen.
