Rear Hatch

So, theres an 81 (I think) 280zx that's completely messed up...like completely totaled, except for the rear...It used to have it's interior but I told my friend about it (his dad bought him one ) and he pretty much raped the interior.

Anyways. I was wondering if theres any differences in the hatch. I have a 79, and the reason I want that other hatch is because it has the wiper motor, and it has some sweet louvers. The car's silver too, same color code and everything so it'll be pretty sweet. (plus my hatch was taken from like a Purple car or something and has ghetto spray paint+primer).

The guy said if I give him 50 bucks and my hatch, he'll give me his.

Obviously this is a good deal, I just wanted to know if the hatch will be an exact fit.

Yes, the hatch is an exact fit as long as it's a coupe like yours and not a 2+2.

Thanks for the info!

I'll be sure to buy it with my next pay check, I just hope it's still there.

most people that have the wiper motors want a smooth hatch without one.

I'm gonna just drill some extra holes in my hatch and have some wiper motors for added rear weight but not use the wiper blade arms! (on my 350Z)

I want the louvers though....lol.

It comes with it.

Plus, my hatch has a big hole where the wiper should be.

Louvers are removable... you don't need the entire hatch, just the mounts.

Simple fix... Fusor a metal plate on the underside of the hole... thin layer of body filler on the top size. BAM!

louvers huh....

I couldn't even give away louvers when I had them. They ended up in the garbage when I moved.

I don't have as many tools as you guys have to do the bodywork.

This'll end up much cheaper in the long run instead of having me do all that other crap you're mentioning.

Haha, dude that'd be awesome. As soon as I can fix the car up for it to travel more then just locally I'll take you up on that.

I got stopped by some cops today (4am) for having no exhaust and for the smell from the shitty fuel pump.

The guy loved my car though, he let me off on a warning and told me not to blow it up and made fun of my shitty suspension.

Also my prejudice against Honda is now gone, I drove my friend's H22 89 Accord and that thing's pretty tight.

I'm on the border of Orlando and Kissimmee, I just got lucky and saw it on Orlandoforums and I went to go see it.

Wish I would have waited though, I love my car and all.

But better deals have come up.
