Hey, fellow z car drivers this is my problem r 200 turbo car with five speed swap from non turbo z. I have done some reading in my fsm & it seems I need a propeller shaft out of a any five speed gl , since I assume they are standard with the r 200 differentials.

My, swap was done weeks ago but this has been a issue since, & I have other z cars that I fiddle with... I put it on the side for a moment. Any thoughts fellows.

Any one able to source the shaft I need ? pm me. I will post in the wanted as soon as I find out exactly what my car is going to require.

you can use a r200 prop shaft from a 79-83, as long as its a 5 speed, but not the t-5 version

 

I will find it in a gl model only, not the deluxe model correct ? I don't think any factory deluxe 280 zx ever came with a r 200. That is what I find in my fsm for a 1983 280 zx. Of course my other option would be a 2+2 shaft but then it has to be shortened. Seems I have done my home work correct. I hope to have not wasted anybody's time buy double or triple checking the correct answer.
