Oxygen Sensor
Ok so NismoPick you should be proud I did a search and found the answer to part of my questions, here's the link if you dont believe me:
https://www.zdriver.com/forums/showt...80zx+O2+Sensor Anyways I understand that the 79 does not have an O2 sensor, however my problem is the headers I have from MSA has the hole for an O2 sensor, I purchase one and installed it thinking that it was needed. My question is, and if you can't answer that is understandable, what type of difficulties will I have when I take my z to get smog, should I remove the O2 and plug the hole with a bolt? Should I leave the O2 in unconnected or should I wait until I can afford a wideband A/F (preferably one the UEGO from AEM) then take her in to get smog? |
It shouldn't matter either way as long as the car still passes smog. If it didn't have an O2 sensor before, then it won't matter after. But since Cali is a smog-nazi, you might want to remove the O2 sensor and cap it so they don't wonder why it's unplugged or not working.
