Noisy doors

Both of my doors make a whole lot of noise when opening and closing. It is kind of a Groan / Squeak / Clunk. I was thinking the hinges were worn out but the doors themselves do not have any sag and have great fitment and close well. So I would think the hinges are good. I tried WD-40, that helped some but does not last long. What are you guys using or doing to help eliminate this noise?

its that hinge lock that keeps the door from closing when the door is open.. the plastic bushing it most likely worn out... i dont know how to replace it and mine was doing the same thing too so i just cut mine off and yeah no more noise but the door wont lock open anymore... but thats fine with me..

I cleaned the lever and hinge good with brake cleaner. Then a healthy spray of pb blaster followed by a nice coat of spray on grease. Very quiet for now.

Wheel bearing grease is your friend. It will adhere to the surface and take that nasty groan away. Simple to re-apply when the groan returns. Should be good for a year or so.
