I have no power going to my headlight fuses. I've checked the fusible links with
volt meter and they appear to be ok.Only checked for continuity. the relay appears to be good also. I have already cleaned the switch and the headlights
worked for about 4 days then don't work and no power to the fuses. Please help! Thank you, Pam 1981 280zx nonturbo.

Ok, so know I'm just thinking of replacing the old fashioned fusible llink box
with the newer fusible links. Has anyone done this? It seems that it would be
better and easier to fix than it is. All of the wires going into the white connectors, and everyone of those wires goes to something different. Why not just separate that crap? Any suggestions would be great!!!! Can't drive it now because theres no Headlights!!!! Maybe it just has to be a daydriver only?
totally sucks!!!!!

If you run a search for upgrading the FL's you should find a write-up for a 79. They are supposed to be very similar.
Ok. So I guess I can just install another fuse box with the same rating as the fusible links. How hard can it be? I'll let you know. I really just wanted to put those new smaller fusible links in. You know, little square boxes. Has anyone tried that? Thanks for the response.

I am planning on upgrading the FL box after I blew the acc (black) FL. But, magically when I upgraded my alt everything started working. Who knows how that works but it does.

To solve this problem you have to track down the problem with a wiring diagram in hand, follow the circuit in the factory service manual, trace out a copy of the circuit so you don't have to search through the complex wiring diagram everytime you need to see where the wire goes. you say you cleaned the switch, but did you check it for continuity after you cleaned it?
